The Trumbull County Sheriff Office refused to admit Plant into the jail until he was treated for his injuries. Officer said this caused a self-inflicted traumatic laceration to form on his head as his blood spilled onto the interior of the cruiser. Plant also somehow unbuckled his seatbelt and began smashing his head on the partition, police said.

Later, police observed the woman to be showing signs of redness to her neck, left cheek and left ear with a small greenish colored bruise that formed around her jaw line.Īs police escorted Plant away, police said he was noncompliant and they had to stop to allow Plant to vomit before placing him in the back of a police cruiser. When he let go of his grip on her throat, she said Plant smacked her across the face with an open hand, the report states. The woman told police she advised her daughter to hide her phone so they still could call 911 because Plant has a history of breaking her cellphone to avoid having the police called on him.Īt one point during the altercation, the woman said Plant was leaving the bathroom and began to charge toward their daughter, but she stood in between the two, the report states.Īs the incident escalated, the report states that Plant then shoved the woman against the wall, grabbed her by her neck and wind-pipe area and began to choke her while hitting the back of her head against the wall as their daughter pleaded for him to stop.

The “scared” and “frightened” young girls later were asked by police to confirm the victim’s story. At least one of their juvenile daughters and her friend were there during the alleged altercation, the report states. Plant and the woman have five children together, according to the report, but it’s unclear how many were in the home at the time.
